Hi guys,
My wife doesnt have SSN yet. We both have our 485's pending. I have my SSN.
To get the Economic stimulus amount, we both have to file taxes with our SSNs. Since we dont her SSN, we cannot file before APR 17th.
So,
I am going to apply for a tax filing extension (which gives me 6 mths)
Simultaneously, I am going to apply for her EAD
Hopefully EAD takes 4 mths
Then I will apply for SSN
and then file our taxes with both our SSNs
hopefully, we get our economic stimulus after that.
Does this sound reasonable? or is there any other way I can do this?

Its not fair to make such comments on her. Its very unprofessional from ourside to act like that even before a help denied by her. I think IV needs everyones help and input. Anyone including her might be of great help if they are convinced with our cause and willing to help. And, they deserve a respect.
By the way, i am neither a supporter of indian govt nor belong to a minority community.

You can say to your current employer that you want to try out something new, but if it doesn't work out you want to have the option of coming back.
If they like you enough, they will consider it. How long to leave it active is another question. Lets say you were able to port the PD to your new I140. If the old employer then revokes the I140, are you still ok with the old PD?

I talked to Delta rep and she told we can transfer miles from one account to another account. But there is a big catch. You need to pay about $10.00 for every 1000 miles transfered and $25.00 transaction fee.

After following up for 1 month in person on my case with Segi Corp consultancy (NJ). They gave me my EAC number when i told them that i will withdraw my case.
When i try to find the status on my case i got the following from USCIS website .
"On June 16, 2009, we rejected this case I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER, because you did not resubmit
payment to correct the insufficient funds notice. On June 16, 2009, we sent you a notice, advising you to resubmit
payment within 14 days to correct the deficiency. 14 days have passed and the deficiency has not been corrected.
Accordingly, this case has been returned with all accompanying documents and is now considered improperly filed and
rejected."
please let me know the procedure to file a case against this consultancy..

How many similar positions are in the company? is this the current position you are in, if yes you can not use experience with your employer even in future for this position.
In either case your best bet would be a different EB2 qualified position with same employer or New employer.:o

My EB3 ROW, although better off than India EB3, it's still in bad shape. I'm much better off trying for EB2 ROW (some of my Pakistani friends got their gc in less than 8 months)

If spouse apply for Social Security card, will she lose her H4 status. Or the status changes after she starts using the EAD for work.

Dual exposure is the obvious and best solution to extremes in lighting but it necessitates setting up a tripod etc.
However, quite often one's best landscapes are an opportunity that presents itself on the spur of the moment. Frequently in these cases the lighting may not fit comfortably into the dynamic range and/or - dare I say it - one's exposure may also be hasty and less than optimum. Dual conversion of a single RAW file is is a great help in this regard. Whilst never quite as good as two separate exposures, I get the impression that the raw converter can extract a remarkable amount of hidden information from a file where the range is not too extreme.
In analogue terms this would be equivalent to being able to develop a single negative image twice with different dilutions temperatures etc (that would be a neat trick). The resulting image may not be technically perfect but may work perfectly in terms of aesthetics.

I hate to give you the bad news, but as far as I know, if you filed 140 after the expiry date on Labor, it will be denied.
And yes, there is a rule about this that they came up with since past few months (?about a year now..)
I would suggest to start a new PERM ASAP and get a help of a good competent lawyer this time.

(Although there are only a couple of days between the expiry date on your labor and 140; but if you really filed your 140 after the expiry of PERM, it will be denied. Are you sure of RD? if it is ND and your RD is within the expiry, it may still be valid).

Even i got the Section: UNKNOWN thing from NSC. My 140 approved on MAY 2007, But online case status is still showing case pending, Is it because of this?

It may very well be a typo. on the card, and everything else may be in order. For example, what does it say on your credit report? If it is the other way round, then there is problem that must be fixed.

Hi,
My first NIW/I140 was concurrent filed with I485 for both my wife and me. When they denied I140, the USCIS also denied I485s for both of us. I have a pending MTR for that I140.
While the MTR was pending, I filed another NIW/I140, which was approved. I noticed that the approval notice has the A# that was on the I485 of the first petition.
So, should I assume that my the USCIS has interfiled my I485 automatically and my old PD is active?

You folks can apply for a Canadian immigration for yourself. It would take atleast 6 months. While she can live on Canadian bording city such as Windsor, and you can work in Detroit, MI. Detroit and Windsor are about 2 miles from each other, and I know many ppl who live in Windsro and work in Detroit.

I am not sure which location you went to. I went to the infopass in Newark, NJ and I was able to get status on name check. They could not give any other information, but they were able to tell me that my name check was complete.
As mentioned in an earlier post, you can always leverage your Congressman.

The online status of my package on USPS tracking page shows same message as yours. It just struck me that how can a certified mail be delivered to the agency if one is sending it to a PO Box. I mean how can USPS get a delivery signature from a real person if the address is not a physical address, but a PO Box number. Any thoughts?
