I suspect, if the camera has a chargable clock battery, it's NOT a "user-servicable" part. The idea is that they don't break.
That's just a guess - I don't have a D70, so I don't know for sure.
I did a few entries in Google, with the result that I'm fairly sure the clock-battery is an internal non-user-changable battery [particularly a reference to the same technology being used on a Nikon D1].
I expect that aside from the inconvenience and shipping cost, the service is fairly reasonable in cost... But that's just a guess...

could'nt have put it better myself. B1 and H1 has direct impact on the businesses in India (who are BTW paying lobbyists to influence ministers and trade groups to make such requests to increase the visas). Why does anyone in India care what the EB visa limit it?

Get it Notarized with photo and send the document.There are standard formats available.
If it is Power of Attorney to deal in property matters on your behalf, then the notarized copy also needs to be stamped by the Indian Consulate in your area.
So there is one more loop involved - to get it endorsed by Indian Consulate, after you have done the notarization. I believe this is something that has become applicable recently as I had to do it last month. A few years ago when I had done the first one, it was just preparing the POA document, and getting it notarized.

I only know information about I-485 filing but do not know what to expect after it is filed?
Can someone tell me what to expect after things are in place? Like expecting Receipt date, fingerprinting - how many of them, what to look for and what to watch out for etc. A consolidated discussion may help many who are unaware of the system.

My U.S. born son is travelling with my friends from India to USA. He had gone to India for summer vacation. Would anybody have any sample letter for addressing to immigration authorities that we authorize his travel along with my friend.

US born child is citizen by birth and has RIGHT to enter United States. Immigration officials cant deny him the right to enter USA.
A simple letter saying that you have authorised your friend to accompany your child (minor) for the travel. The letter should have your contact address, cell etc
