"US Consulate General, Hyderabad, Cornelis M Keur addressing media persons at the 'meet the press' programme organised by Press Club Hyderabad said that due to economic slowdown the world over, the US government has taken a decision to tie up its unemployment problem which is nine per cent. But, there was no significant change in visa policy. "We continue to issue H1B visas with little more scrutiny," Keur said.
He said that, at the same time, the US government has framed a policy for the companies to give preference to native Americans in employment.
Obama administration has taken up a practical approach in establishing relations with the countries while there were efforts in strengthening relations with India because of the "Brain Borrowing", he said.
Keur said there are 3 million Indians in the US who are contributing to its prosperity specially mentioning about the Andhraites who marked their presence in various fields in the US including IT.
Keur said the Hyderabad Consulate, the fourth in the country was established due to the growing trade and development in the state in the IT, biotechnology and pharma sectors."

Does your employer do all the work or the lawyer?
All H1 extensions are now processed in California (I think). So you should get the WAC number (EAC-Vermont,LIN-Nebraska,WAC-California,SRC-Texas). And my employer's lawyer sent the application end of may (31st I think) and we received a notice dated June 8th.

Right - You will have to wait to apply for 485. You can do so only once your Priority DAte is current on the VISA Bulletin.
You can file for i-140 though.......I guess you have a long wait to file 485 and EAD/AP

Recently my employer has decreased the hourly rate given for many years in the pay stub but providing the difference as bonus. Will it affect my EB2 Classification and I-485 approval.

I applied for I 485 , AP and EAD during 07 July. I got a fp notice back in 2007 and I got another one two weeks ago. I went ahead and did my bio-metrics over the weekend at TSC Application Support Center.
Does this mean that somebody has looked into my file and pre adjudicated it? or is it a automated thing and does not mean anything?
Please advice!

From what I have heard from close friends/relatives, your option B is correct.
Also, people living abroad and coming here and getting citizenship is only possible as you know if they fulfill the physical presence and continuous residency requirements. Further, since they have a US address (and can provide proof for it), why should the 90 days USCIS district requirement be an issue?!

Recently my I-140 petition for EB2 was denied on educational grounds . The employer opened an MTR/appeal.
Is it possible to re-file the I-140 petition in EB3 using the same labor certification, while the first I-140 is pending appeal at AAO.

Hi,
I filed my 485 in Dec 2004.My PD is June 2004.
Got married in 2005.
If (Less Probability..) i get my 485 approved and not able to add my Spouse's to my 485.
What would be my Options.
Please advice.
if you got married before the approval of I-485 you can file for your spouse's 485 even after your 485 id approved. Search for "follow to join" clause, this has it covered.

I recommend contacting your international department for details. They should be able to guide you depending on how useful/active they are!

I dont think there is any way you can apply for GC right now. Once your parents are US citizens they can apply GC for you under family based immigration. Else you need to find an employer (once you get a job) to file GC for you under employment based quota. I am not sure about this but since GC is for future employment can an employer file GC for you based on assumption that once GC is approved you can join him? (in theory it looks possible but I dont think any one has done it. You can consult a lawyer) . But before that you need to find an employer who is willing to file an GC for future employment which is pretty unlikely. So I think you can wait and finish your studies and then see which option suits you better family based or employment based GC.

Like Tom said, EAD is irrelevant to your studying on parolee status. The only thing is you cannot work during the EAD gap.

I always wonder these ARAVAS deserve GC?
Because where ever they will make lot of fuss there and cause so many troubles to hosting country...
Srilanka they made a beautiful country as almost ash because of their perverted intensions..And Singapore they will never go with country's best interests...and Malaysia....
And even in India see the support to LTTE (Openly)
Also all most all these ARAVAs are blue collar cheap labor, I don�t know how a considerable number of Tamils getting h1b
