Let's face it: Apple is a monopoly, but with such a small market share, it is a monopoly that we have freely chosen to deal with.
Apple is in no way a monopoly. What would they have a monopoly on, macs? That's like saying toyota has a monopoly on toyotas.

Seriously, why not an Imac with touch-screen right now? Will we need to wait for the next iMac update to see this technology implemented?
Oh yeah definitely I love the thought of controlling my computer by poking the screen, yeah I just love the fingerprints on the glass of my screen so much and the mouse is so CLUNKY, all it's good for is stuff like doing work and getting stuff done.

Once I get my iMac will get the free basic MobileMe and purchase the very reasonable 20.00/year for music.
It's cheaper than DropBox which charges 200.00 /year 100GB and 100.00 /year 50 GB Even if I didn't get the music I'd be getting the 200.00 and 100.00 pkgs from Dropbox for free.

I'm holding off until WWDC to decide what route of "Mac conversion" I am going to be using. If Leopard has a built in Parallels type solution (which I believe it will), then I will absolutely begin my church's mac conversion in January.

It's definitely not perspective. You can see the metal piece is raised higher because the white sections are thicker than the black sections. A 2 year old could figure this out.

I like how the proximity sensor was casually cut off from the picture. I wonder if that iPhone has the "new" proximity sensor or the old one.
I bet if T-Mobile got the iPhone, they wouldn't need to sell the company since many people would go back to T-Mobile.
I agree... why would T-Mobile sell themselves to AT&T if they know they are going to get the iPhone!!!??? I sure as hell would switch to T-mobile if they came out with a T-Mobile version!

I have to agree, the Video Refresh rate is also noticable compared from Parallels. The Mouse is more sluggish and it just doesn't give you the feel that Parallels does.
I didn't notice any difference from running 2 Cores either :(

Don't know what the pricing will be, but I am 100% sure that by release it will be an extremly robust product with only a very small overhead (I consider Parallels to have a fairly large overhead). With this I'm talking about running around 40 virtual production servers 24x7 on 3 servers with only 2 service breaks per server during the last year (planned maintainance breaks for upgrades).

Usually, when a new technology comes out from Apple like Thunderbolt, (mini display port in look a like), I usually think "Why would other "non" Apple manufactures like WD, Promise etc... adopt Thunderbolt? as USB 3.0 or eSATA is their bracket... where as Apple likes to keep to themselves only tailoring to their own devices (eg. using WDS (or extenting wireless via Airport Express), for example. is not possible unless you have Time Capsule (Apple) )

The major difference between TB and FW adoption is that FW was 100% Apple whereas TB was envisioned by Apple and then handed off to Intel for development and implementation.
Since Intel is a major supplier of MBs to PC box manufacturers it can more easily push TB than Apple could FW. Moreover USB 3 is an Intel creation too so it has even greater power to play puppet master.

they probably fixed the issue months ago, considering its no problem on the iPad 2 and they just haven't released it just yet to have an excuse to push the iPhone 5 further away

I always wondered if the rumors of the iPad3 for September is actually a smaller tablet designed to compete against the Barnes & Noble Nook Color and (possibly) an upcoming Amazon Kindle Android tablet. It would feature iOS 5, Retina Display (for easier reading), the iBookstore, and could run iPhone or iPod Touch apps. Market it as a separate product, and maybe even use the iBook name again.
Then again - after seeing a TV commercial for a Samsung TV that has a bunch of apps, maybe the Apple HDTV set isn't a bad rumor either.
Well, If I was in product development at Apple*, I might look around and see what the biggest iPad competitors were producing and come to the conclusion that if I produced a 7" iBook running iBooks and a few other iOS Apps and priced it to compete reasonably well with the Kindle, then launched it shortly before Christmas then I might hook quite a lot more customers into the Apple ecosystem.
At the same time I'd hopefully attract the I-have-a-laptop-so-I-don't-want-a-tablet-but-an-eReader-would-be-nice segment of the market which, judging by the number of MR posters saying that here, is quite large.
*But I'm not. However I'll have a tenner on at Ladbrokes that that's what's coming in September.:)

I'm at mv but they apparently don't know how many they will have till 11 till they get their shipment probably bs since the other days they were able to tell us their stock around now
As of now they said they have 0 but at max they will have 30. No specific models.

Here in Phoenix I have not had too many issues. i get full strength signal most of the time and almost always 3g. however there are a few places i have that and still cannot get data, luckily its not often, and usually its in the evening which is probably heavy usage times.
East side of the Phoenix and the outlying areas are terrible. This thing is a brick often! I actually keep old reliable verizon around in case of emergency. Still, the iPhone rocks and I'll just keep it till they open it up to Verizon too!

also how about ability to have bookmarks in a click menu, like yahoo toolbar, where it can be shared among a login on your .mac acct? across all your computers, ie laptop and workstation?
